Calculator Use Competition

The calculator use competition is a 30-minute exam which consists of approximately 50 questions. The calculator use competition is intended to align itself loosely with the UIL Calculator competition. Therefore, the competition will include calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, roots, powers, exponentiation, logarithms, trigonometric functions and inverse trigonometric functions. Any commercially available calculator may be used in this competition. Non-integer answers will be calculated to three significant digits. The participant will enter his/her answers on a scantron form (provided by the University). Each participant will need to bring a number of No. 2 pencils.

Due to space restrictions we request that each school register no more than 5 students for this competition.

Notice : The calculator use and the geometry competitions are running concurrently and as such participants can't compete in both of these events.
